Perma resource library

Tools for clearer reading and practice

The resource library gathers reading guides, field-note templates, discussion prompts, and reference pathways around sports physiology, cardiovascular stamina, functional training, and recovery for men aged 35 and beyond.

These materials are designed to support questions and organisation. They are not a substitute for personal evaluation, and they do not turn a complex decision into a checklist with one correct answer.

Before using a resource

A small checklist

  • Check the publication date and whether the material has a revision note.
  • Read the scope statement before applying an idea to your own setting.
  • Note whether the source is an observation, a definition, or an external reference.
  • Keep only the information needed for your own record.
  • Return to the original question if the resource starts to create unnecessary complexity.

A resource is useful when it reduces confusion and supports careful observation, not when it creates another performance task.

“A good resource gives structure to attention while leaving judgement with the reader.”

Resource questions

Are the templates downloadable?

Available formats are described on the relevant resource page or can be requested through contact. Perma may provide a simple text or printable version.

Can I share a resource with a group?

Personal sharing for discussion is welcome when the Perma attribution and original link remain visible. Republishing or commercial redistribution requires permission.

How are resources updated?

Links and descriptions are reviewed during the publication review cycle, with earlier correction when a material error is identified.

Using a resource without overreading it

Every resource has a purpose and a boundary. A worksheet may help organise a week, but it does not explain every reason a session felt different. A glossary can clarify a term, but it cannot replace the source method behind a specialised measurement. A discussion guide can open a conversation, but it cannot settle a personal decision for everyone in the room.

Perma encourages readers to keep the material close to the question that led them to it. If the question changes, return to the library and choose a different route rather than stretching one document beyond its intended scope.

  • Read the introduction and notes before using a template.
  • Keep copies dated so later changes are understandable.
  • Credit Perma when a worksheet is shared in a group.
  • Remove personal details before sending a completed record.
