Advertising and Partnerships
Perma’s audience values clarity, so commercial relationships are described plainly. This page was updated 5 October 2026.
The policy applies to display placements, sponsorships, affiliate references, event partnerships, and any other commercial arrangement associated with the publication. It is intended to help readers distinguish editorial material from paid communication without relying on colour, position, or assumptions.
1. Separation
Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions, article selection, or correction decisions.
The commercial and editorial desks may discuss placement, format, timing, and technical requirements, but not the outcome of independent editorial review. A partner cannot require a favourable article, removal of a correction, or a ranking based on payment. The editor may decline a proposal that would create confusion.
2. Labelling
Paid placements, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships are labelled in language a reader can understand.
Labels should appear near the relevant material and should not be hidden in a footer or link destination. Terms such as sponsored, partnership, or affiliate are used according to the relationship. If a format makes labelling unclear, Perma will use a more direct presentation or not publish it.
3. Suitable subjects
We do not accept promotions that make unsupported health claims, target fear, or promise an individual result.
We also review the audience, landing page, imagery, disclosures, and data practices associated with a proposal. Content that encourages unsafe conduct, misrepresents evidence, or conflicts with applicable advertising standards may be declined. A subject that is acceptable in one context may still require qualification in another.
4. Review
Commercial materials are reviewed for lawful presentation, clarity, and compatibility with the publication’s audience.
Review may check identity of the advertiser, wording of material claims, visible conditions, destination links, age appropriateness, and whether a reader could confuse paid copy with independent reporting. Review does not transfer responsibility for substantiation from the advertiser to Perma. Materials can be paused while questions are resolved.
5. Data
We do not sell reader contact lists to advertisers.
Advertisers do not receive contact-form messages merely because a placement appears on the site. Any event registration or campaign data is handled according to the notice shown at collection and the applicable privacy policy. Technical delivery data may be processed by hosting or advertising infrastructure as described in the relevant notice.
6. Claims
Advertisers remain responsible for substantiating claims about their products or services.
Perma may request sources, qualifications, conditions, or a revised statement before publication. A general disclaimer cannot repair a misleading headline or omit a material condition. If a substantiation concern emerges later, the material may be corrected, suspended, or removed while it is assessed.
7. Editorial firewall
The editorial desk may disagree with or decline a commercial proposal.
Declining a proposal does not prevent a later editorial article from covering a relevant public topic independently. Commercial staff cannot instruct contributors how to interpret sources. The editor keeps a record of material conflicts and decisions for the duration needed to administer the relationship.
8. Corrections
Misleading commercial language may be amended or removed.
Readers can report a concern with the placement, label, claim, or destination. We aim to acknowledge a report within five business days and review it within 30 calendar days. Urgent concerns involving safety, unlawful content, or personal data should be clearly identified in the message.
9. Contact
Partnership enquiries may be sent to Jalan Sudirman Kav. 22, Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12930.
Enquiries should describe the organisation, proposed subject, audience, format, destination, and intended dates. We aim to respond to a complete proposal within 30 calendar days. Sending a proposal does not create an obligation to publish.
10. Phone
Call +62 813 5792 4680 during ordinary correspondence hours.
Phone conversations may be followed by written confirmation so that labels, claims, deliverables, and dates are clear. The current policy date is 5 October 2026, with a planned review on 5 January 2027. Material changes will be shown with a dated revision note.
Before publication, a proposal is considered in context rather than by subject title alone. Review may include the destination page, claims, imagery, audience settings, privacy notice, consent mechanism, and the way a reader is asked to contact a partner. A neutral subject can still be unsuitable if the presentation creates a misleading impression. Materials are also checked for clear separation from Perma’s independent articles and recommendations.
Commercial data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and any notice presented by the partner. Perma does not need a reader’s health history to place an advertisement, and advertisers are not given editorial correspondence merely because a person has read a page. Where a technical provider processes delivery data, access is limited to the stated advertising or hosting function. International processing may occur through infrastructure providers, subject to the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.
Readers may report an unclear label, unsupported statement, broken disclosure, or inappropriate placement to Jalan Sudirman Kav. 22, Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12930 or +62 813 5792 4680. Perma aims to acknowledge a report within five business days and to review a material concern within 30 calendar days. A placement may be paused, corrected, relabelled, or removed while it is being assessed.
This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 and is scheduled for review on 5 January 2027, or sooner when advertising formats, partners, data practices, or applicable Indonesian requirements change. Revision notes will identify material changes without exposing confidential commercial terms. The current approach remains informational, transparent, and separate from editorial judgment.
Reviewing commercial material
Perma reviews advertising, partnership, and sponsored material separately from ordinary editorial commissioning. The review considers the destination page, the wording of the invitation, the audience setting, imagery, disclosures, privacy explanation, and whether the reader can understand what is commercial. A neutral subject can still be unsuitable when the presentation creates an inaccurate impression.
Commercial material must not make unsupported health, financial, performance, or personal outcome statements. It must not rely on fear, false urgency, hidden conditions, fabricated endorsements, or an implication that Perma has independently verified a claim when it has not. Where a partner supplies material, the page identifies that relationship and keeps it distinct from independent articles.
Data and partner responsibilities
Perma does not need a reader’s health history to place an advertisement, and advertising partners do not receive private editorial correspondence merely because a person read a page. Technical providers may process limited delivery, security, or impression information under their own terms, as described in the Privacy and Cookie Policies. Optional measurement is not enabled by default and requires clear notice where it is introduced.
Partners are expected to provide accurate destination details, current contact information, lawful creative material, and a working route for questions. Perma may request supporting information, revise a label, pause a placement, or decline material that does not meet the publication’s standards. These steps are part of ordinary review and do not represent an endorsement of a partner’s broader business.
