Editorial Policy

Perma is an independent editorial publication focused on sports physiology, cardiovascular stamina, and functional training for men aged 35 and beyond. This policy explains how we commission, review, correct, and label our material in 2026.

It applies to articles, guides, interviews, event notes, newsletters, visual captions, and updates published under the Perma name. It does not turn general information into individual advice. The editor retains responsibility for the final published presentation and for maintaining a clear distinction between information and promotion.

1. Independence

Editorial decisions are separate from advertising conversations. A commercial relationship does not buy coverage, ranking, or favorable wording.

Commercial partners do not approve editorial conclusions or corrections. A proposed topic may be declined when its framing would mislead readers or create a conflict. Any material relationship relevant to an article is disclosed in the article or accompanying note.

2. Scope

Articles explain concepts and questions, not personal treatment plans.

Writers may discuss training structure, measurement, recovery, and movement in general terms. They do not diagnose readers, interpret private records, or promise an individual outcome. Examples are illustrative and should not be mistaken for a prescription.

3. Sources

Authors identify relevant research, professional guidance, and practical context where possible.

Sources are assessed for relevance, date, authorship, and the strength of the conclusion being described. A source may be linked directly or listed in a reading note. When evidence is mixed, the wording should reflect that uncertainty rather than present one interpretation as settled.

4. Review

Health-related claims receive a reasonableness and risk-language review before publication.

The review checks whether a sentence overstates evidence, implies diagnosis, creates unnecessary urgency, or omits a material limitation. Higher-risk wording receives additional editorial attention and may be removed. Review is not a clinical certification and does not replace a source check.

5. Voice

We avoid sensational claims, guaranteed outcomes, and language that pressures readers.

Perma prefers calm, specific descriptions and avoids unsupported superlatives. Headlines should tell a reader what the article covers rather than manufacture fear or curiosity. Promotional language is evaluated against the same standard as body copy.

6. Corrections

Readers can report an error by phone or address. Material corrections are dated and described.

Reports should name the page, passage, and supporting source where available. We aim to acknowledge a report within five business days and assess it within 30 calendar days. Minor wording fixes may be made without a full correction note when they do not change meaning.

7. Updates

Pages are reviewed during the 2026 cycle and may carry a visible publication or revision date.

Reviews consider broken links, changed guidance, outdated examples, and whether the article still matches the publication’s scope. The next planned policy review is 5 January 2027. A material update records its date and general reason.

8. Conflicts

Authors disclose relevant professional or commercial relationships to the editor.

The editor decides whether a disclosure, recusal, independent review, or non-publication is appropriate. A relationship that does not affect the article may still be disclosed for reader clarity. Undisclosed conflicts are investigated when reported.

9. User comments

Community contributions are moderated for safety, relevance, and respect.

Contributions may be edited for clarity, removed for privacy or unlawful content, or held while a fact is checked. Readers should not post personal medical information or another person’s contact details. Moderation decisions can be queried through the contact details below.

10. Contact

Editorial questions are acknowledged within five business days where contact details are available. This policy was updated 5 October 2026 and will be reviewed again in the 2026–2027 editorial cycle.

Editorial work is planned with the publication’s stated audience and scope in mind, but age, training history, geography, and access to equipment vary widely. Authors are expected to distinguish observation from interpretation and to identify when a statement depends on limited evidence. The words “may,” “can,” and “is associated with” are used where they more accurately describe uncertainty. A reader’s personal situation should never be inferred from an article view or correspondence.

Corrections are handled proportionately. A factual error that could change a reader’s understanding is corrected promptly, with a note where the change is material; a typographical change may be made without a public note. Reader reports should include the page title, relevant wording, source if available, and a way to request follow-up. Perma aims to acknowledge correction correspondence within five business days and to assess a substantive report within 30 calendar days.

Editorial records, source notes, commissioning correspondence, and correction decisions may be retained for up to seven years where needed to document publication history, rights, accounting, or a legal request. Personal details not needed for that purpose are removed or restricted. The policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 and is scheduled for review on 5 January 2027, or sooner if the publication model, sources, or advertising practices change. Contact is available at Jalan Sudirman Kav. 22, Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12930 or +62 813 5792 4680.

Editorial responsibility

Perma’s editorial team is responsible for choosing topics, checking sources, identifying uncertainty, and presenting material in language that does not overstate an outcome. Writers are asked to separate observation, interpretation, and recommendation. A page may explain a training concept without suggesting that the concept has the same meaning for every reader.

The masthead identifies Amelia Hart, Chief Editor; Rizky Pranata, Physiology Editor; and Mei Lin Tan, Standards Editor. Their roles include commissioning, source review, disclosure checks, accessibility review, corrections, and final publication decisions. Contributors are named on relevant pages when their participation materially shapes the work.

Sources, corrections, and updates

Sources are selected for relevance, date, method, and clarity. A source can be authoritative and still be unsuitable for a particular sentence if its population or conditions differ from the article’s subject. Readers may report a problem by identifying the page title, exact wording, source, and suggested correction.

Material factual errors are corrected with a note when the change could alter a reader’s understanding. Minor spelling or formatting corrections may be made without a separate note. Perma aims to acknowledge reports within five business days and assess substantive reports within 30 calendar days.

Independence and disclosure

Editorial decisions are kept separate from advertising and partnership review. A commercial relationship does not determine whether a topic is published, and a partner does not receive private reader correspondence merely because a page has been viewed. Relevant relationships, supplied material, and sponsored placements are labelled in the page context.

  • Claims are checked against the source that supports them.
  • Uncertainty is retained where it is meaningful.
  • Images and quotations are used with appropriate permission or attribution.
  • Reader privacy is respected during corrections and follow-up.

Editorial records may be retained for up to seven years when needed to document publication history, rights, accounting, or correction decisions. Personal details not required for that purpose are restricted or removed. The policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 and is scheduled for review on 5 January 2027.
